Green's Academy
Vladimir is recruiting for new dark witches and wizards that want to join his cause while the Ministry officials are getting themselves prepared for an imminent war. You have a choice, you can join Harry and the Ministry to vanquish the evil doers to restore what is good and righteous about the world or join Lord Vladimir Gustav and his band of Reapers who wish to take over the world and rid it of non magical folk. The plot thickens daily and The Greens Daily Prophet has all the current events to bring you up to date! We are currently in need of good guys especially Aurors.
For your convenience we are doing OTM nominations at together differently. You may nominate OTMs at any time during the month using our convenient forms. The dead line for the month previous is the 7th of the next month.
This is a Harry Potter based RP site for Intermediate /Advanced writers. The key to opening up the magical world of Greens is to become a full member and once approved, you'll be able to access the entire board. We expect our members to put up thought provoking works that fit within the site premise and your application must be complete and free of grammatical and spelling errors. We have very active members, so we hope that you will join us. Please put substance into your posts – 500 words or more is required on all posts, no exceptions! If you are looking for a Beginner RPG then please visit our sister site Providence Academy that run concurrent on all aspects. It is our Secondary (Middle/High) school for young RPers that are just getting started and where we will help you learn to become a better writer.

We are still in need of certain cannon characters. If you do decide to take on a cannon however you must be active with that charrie. This means you are required to post up for that charrie or it may go back up on the adoption list. This also means if a new member comes onto the site and wants to play that cannon and you have not been active, then they have to option of putting in an application to take that charrie so that it is played.

It isn't often that one is asked what a website means to them. For me the answer was home.
I happened to stumble across Green's purely by accident while searching Google for a great place to RP Harry Potter. I clicked the advertisement and got sucked into a world of love, fun and adventure.
I will admit when I first read the rules I wasn't sure if I had the ability to write as much as they wanted us to, but I took the plunge and created my first character.
I poured my soul into her and have never regretted it. The admins here are willing to listen to your concerns. Not only do they listen they see if they can correct it and that is what makes this site so amazing.
I have found a home here at Green's and I never plan on leaving. It has become my home, my haven for friendship and creativity and without each member this site would be dead. I encourage each of you to take the plunge like I did and join and being the adventure. You won't regret it.

I'm not very good at making speech-like, beautiful wording on how much this site means to me but I'll try to say what I feel about it.
I actually was searching Harry Potter roleplay sites after seeing a link for a Harry potter roleplay on Fanfiction. It had been a year since i last roleplayed on a site and I was missing roleplaying with fun people.
The banner, along with the description of Green's academy caught my eye and from there i was hooked. This forum is beautifully structured and beautiful in appearence. It's active and best of all, every single person on here is kind.
Some of the nicest people that i have ever dealt with on roleplay sites are from here. It's almost more of an added bonus that they write beautifully as well. And their characters... Some of the most unique characters that i have ever dealt with are on here.
Cbox talks about so many different things every day and you won't lose the conversation if you leave for a brief moment. Some of the conversations are so funny, just the number of times bob (The cbox) has died and then people freak out about it...
Many times a day, i will have my thoughts on Green's academy, talking to everyone and being able to roleplay. Before any other of my roleplay sites, the very first site I check is Green's. Not to mention, responses on here are topmost on the list unless i have a specific writer's block.
Green's academy is a great roleplay site and I will never leave it. If I have to completely fix my computer again from another crash, unlike other roleplays, I actually have this site written down. i even remember the best way to search it again on google so i could return here.
I will always enjoy my time spent on here and will stay a member for as long as I can. Even if life tries to drag me away, I'll come back because Green's academy is really that good a site and the people here are that awesome.

Hmmm..... What do I think of Green's Academy? Well it could use a new coat of paint and someone should fix the holes in the sidewalk.... just kidding.
Honestly? Greens Academy is the place to come for a visit and stay for the camaraderie and love. That is what you will find here, friendship and love. Each and every member is special in their own way and they love each other. No I am not talking about the 'I do' or the 'I can't live without you' kind of love. I mean that each of us are viewed as unique and talented and we are loved for that.
Life is a busy thing and Greens is the best place to come and chill out after a hard day at school or work. Trust me on that one, you pull up Greens and before you know it you are sucked into the silliness of whatever conversation is going on.
If you do anything in your life, I implore you at least stop and take a look.

What do I think about Green's? Well if you are reading this, most likely you are contemplation on whether or not you want to join this site or not (that or you must be really bored and just want something to do), while I cannot tell you whether you personally should join or not I can tell you a bit about what I feel about the place.
If you really are contemplating joining please read the warning box on the bottom left corner. I am not even kidding about that. It will not take too long after joining for you to realize just how addicting this place really is, and so you better be prepared to spend most of your time on here, or spend it wishing you were and coming up with new plot ideas for your characters. I myself have already fallen victim to this, and when you join, you will most definitely find me chatting with members who have become my friends and are almost like family to me, in the c-box (or Bob as we kindly refer to him).
Green's is my Internet homepage. Its the first place I come, and if nothing else the chat window is always up while I surf the web. The people here are incredibly kind/awesome/etc. and its fun to simply chat with them. Bob is a great place to know who has posted as well, and hear the latest plot gossip. The owners of the site put money into it, so you can register your name, so no one else will have it, you can add an avatar, and it refreshes automatically-- its a fun thing to have.
Most of my day is spent on this site. Its fun to be on all day, cause you really meet new and interesting people throughout all hours, since our members span multiple time zones, and even continents- Simon is from the Netherlands! I'm not kidding-- you can be on at 8am- someone is on; 2am- someone is on; noon-someone is on. Whenever I wake up and hop on Alexaviera and the Headmaster are always there to greet me with a 'Good Morning.' The fact that people are on all hours, makes it really fun cause there is always someone to post with or talk to. Late nights you can almost always find Bella, Vlad, and Calla. The people here really do become like family.
They members care about you, are generally interested in you and what you have to say. The owners of the site are open to hearing new ideas and suggestions and the plot for the site is awesome. They are always thinking of new ways to create fun and include all the members. Plus, your own side plots are not only welcome, but highly encouraged!
The members/writers here are top notch. I know- I have been participating in forum-based RPG's for over six years now, and have even owned there of my own. The writers here, put so much creativity and hard work into their posts, which makes them super fun to read. It also helps keep you inspired and helps you better your own writing. I find myself constantly improving here. My first posts were around 250 (the minimum required) and now I have found myself submitting posts that were over 1500 words long!
You can have more then one character which can also be a lot of fun. Your characters can have special abilities, be almost any type of creature- some I hadn't even heard of before joining (some examples include- Reinla, a fairy; Sasha, a mermaid; and Lexie a Vampire), you can get special items, have their own house/dorm, participate in classes- talk to Karlis and he'll get you set up, choose whether you want to be evil or not (Nyx plays twins, and each one is on a different side) and you can even go to town. The board relates well to real life- which is part of its fun! Even though the board is rather vast though, it still is like its own family or community and that is where a lot of the charm truly lies.
The Admin team here is top notch, and you can always seem to find one of them on (and if not- our members are super smart, and very helpful). They really do try and include everyone. They are always willing to talk to you and listen, even if its just to get real life drama off your chest. The site owners, Ginny and Harry, are married in real life and have kids- so they are very loving and very patient with people. They really have become almost like second parents, and I'm not kidding, if you have real life issues going on, the members are there for you, doing their best to help you out and help you work through it. It is really amazing to see people care for you like that. I have already made a ton of amazing friends on her- Lily and Trinity just to name two.
I honestly have never found an RP like Green's before, and after this place, I don't think any RP I join could ever stack up. This place is truly the best RP out there, hands down. Don't believe me? Then let us show you by signing up! I guarantee within a few minutes of you signing in, someone in Bob will have already said Hi to you, helped you learn how to use Bob, and helped guide you around the site to get you application in. This place is truly amazing!! Even our newest members- Nick, Mila, Sable and Payton are incredible, and they haven't even been with us for a week yet!
For those of you who don't like to read a whole lot (don't every RP with Scorp btw, his last post was over 2300 words and this one is only about 1000 so far) I've created this summary for you!

I honestly can say that there is NO other harry potter roleplay site out there that would possibly dare compete with the ever growing Green's Academy. Green's kicks ass. Everyone knows it. We do! hehe.
Everyone here is a joy to roleplay with and everyone here is joined together by their individual, unique personalities that shape what Green's really stands for. A Family of supporting people who come together to have a good time. We have so many amazing writers here, that when it comes to nominations, its just too hard to pick just one. The plots are growing as the days go on, and the plots become darker, as Lord Vladimir and his evil minions take control.
There are three sides that you can choose from: To chill with the villains, or be on the good side and fight for what you believe is right. Or you can be....neutral. If you want to get thrown into the plot, do not be afraid to contact one of our heads. They will gladly point you the right direction.
The storylines are intriguing and very original and so much thought gets put into the posts. The posts are very detailed. Members get recognized for their outstanding posts.
Everyone cares here about everyone. Green's really makes you feel at home, so don't be a stranger. Step into the wonderful world of Green's Academy and discover the magic for yourself.

Green's Academy? What to say exactly? I could never understand the reason behind someone being stuck on one of these sites....until I joined one. At first the sites I joined were very lame and gave me no enthusiasm really to return to them once a day. Now that I've joined Green's though....Well I guess I can say it gave me purpose to come onto the computer and talk with people.
Being here gives me a nice place to go to when life is biting you....It gives me a place ust to talk with real people that actually like to listen and take pleasure in being nice. Being in Green's isn't like joining a normal site. You don't jujst join the site and then disappear. The people here adopt you into their makeshift family. You become another member of a family that is more than a family. More of a family, friend list, and a support group. THe people here are so welcoming and nice.
I showed up my first day. I signed up for the C-Bob. As soon as i said hi I was greeted with three different hi's and how are you doin's?. I smiled and just put that I was pretty good. Instantly they realized I was new. As soon as that happened all I heard was advice. What to do first how to get the pictures into the Bob and much more. They welcomed me and even though I had read everything they made sure I knew it all. They also told me to read all of the addiction signs and by now I've done most of them.
The people here though. They're awesome. There's no other way to say it. Karlis, is like a big brother, always a bit goofy and messing with you but in the end still concerned about you. Danielle, Alexa, Trinity, Bella and most of the other girls are like sisters, they are constantly just being nice. They care about you and genuinly want to know how you're doing. Though I may still be considered a new member I know these people enough to tell you they're nice and friendly. Also people like Scorpius and Ethan. They're like friends to me. Though they may not be like family. they're still nice people and I enjoy talking with them.
The final people I wan to talk about is Harry, Ginny, and Headmaster Love. All three of these people are awesome. They're like the parents of the whole site. They help with everything they can. They give direction and help with what ever they can like the rest of the people. Anyone else I haven't mentioned...well it's not that I forgot it's the fact if I wrote about all of you then this would be almost 4000+ words and I don't have that much time. But the rest of the people here are really nice here.
All I can say is join the family and experience what's it's like to be surrounded with such great people in such a nice enviroment.
This is no longer considered supported by me at this moment. Opinions do change though. This is again considered an active opinion of mine about the site.

There is an old saying that goes "Many people will walk into your life, but few will leave footprints in your heart." If this is true, Green's academy has left a trail. The people I have met and the way my writing has improved are just two small reasons why Green's has become my 'family'.
5 months ago, I was browsing the internet like any other day, and for some reason I went to a Harry Potter website. There, I saw a link for Green's Academy. My puppy, Bailey, was sitting on my lap sniffing the keyboard, and suddenly she went to the screen and licked where the link was. Seeing this as a sign, I clicked. I thought I was just clicking into another RP. However, I would soon learn I was clicking into catharsis, kindness, love, and a hope for a better future.
Though this may seem a bit extreme, and nobody thinks an RP can provide all that, I will attempt to explain. When I wandered into Green's 5 months ago, I was a person who dealt with problems on my own, a person who thought I deserved to be treated horribly by the people who were supposed to love me. As an incident occured when my family was coming back from Delaware and was stranded in a tiny town in a grimy hotel room, I was sitting on the bed working on a scholarship application. As the incident began, something told me to log into Greens as I sat in horror, not knowing what to do. Harry was online at the time, and after a few seconds of debating whether or not I should say something, I did. And from there, everything began to spill out over the next couple of weeks as I talked to Harry and Ginny. They gave me advice, told me everything was going to be okay. They really seemed to care, and I began to confide in them more and more. Whenever I was upset or feeling down or scared or alone or anything else I may be feeling, all I had to do was long into YIM and send them an IM, and they were there for me in a minute. Even if I started to get on their nerves, they always put on their happy face and talked to me. There is even a song that makes me thing of Harry and Ginny that Harry once recommended, and I smile each time I hear it.
It was then that I began to feel hope, lifted. Knowing that there was always somebody there who understood, worried, and cared made me feel content and hopeful. A few weeks later, Lily joined. She was awesome, and we always joked around in the c-bob. From there, our characters became best friends. And I also found a friend in her, somebody who is always there for me. She helps me with my college applications, gives me advice, and cares enough to ask if everything is okay. I can trust her with anything I say, and I know she will never judge me.
As the months progress, I find my writing getting better. My posts have risen from around 200 words to 500 words or more, with more detail and depth. This will definitely help me in my career as a writer or journalist.
To sum it all up, I do not know where I would be today if it were not for Greens. Ginny, Harry, and Lily are the most wonderful people I have ever met. They are loving, caring people who do everything they can to help me, and I do not know what I would do without them. They have so much to do in real life, yet always seem to have time to listen to me gripe. If ever you feel down, just sign onto YIM! :-D

I would say I have been around the block a time or two when it comes to role playing, I started eight years ago with the one-liner style. I have since expanded my posts and worked on character development. It was hard, and I had absolutely no one to help me in my growth. It was something I had to do on my own and I faced a lot of adversity I dealt with people who only role-played with themselves and were not the type to help you out. I stopped for a while, I started get back into it two years ago but nothing of note. I found greens while looking over a site I had joined that had died. After looking around I found myself thinking ‘what the heck’ and I joined.
It was honestly one of the best things I could have done, I had broken my foot a few weeks earlier and who knew all my loafing about on the internet would make me so freaking happy. The past couple of months have not been easy but I must say my Greens Family has made things feel better. I can’t bear to be away from them for too long because I love them all so much. The moment I joined I was warmly greeted by Harry and Mama C and shortly there after the rest of the amazing admin team here. I think of the greatest things about this site is the fact Harry and Mama C are so dedicated to us acting as surrogate parents even though they are only a few years older, even in their hard times they make sure to check on us. The amount of care and effort they put into the site makes it worth it to stop in even if it is just to say hi.
This brings me to the members, they are a truly amazing bunch of people. I can’t believe the caliber of writing that has been collected on this site. Not to mention the fact everyone wants to help everyone out. There is also a lack of cliques between the members, everyone rps with everyone. I also am impressed the with canon-ness of the site, I have always been a real stickler for canon and even though there are some non-canon attributes here I appreciate them because the time that has been taken to back them up. It’s also amazing the time taken to actually set things up. For events and relationships they have actually been established organically via role play. Not to mention the sub-plots are not only intricate but open-ended enough for anyone and everyone to get involved.
I love it here and I honestly can’t believe such amazing people exist and I don’t know why they haven’t been in my life until now.
